David Bredin
Managing Director and Certified Coach
David Bredin, Coach, Managing Director, founder of 4sight Communications and Magistrate served for 20 years in the Armed Forces with both British and Gurkha troops operating in many parts of the world. He left the services to head up a public relations campaign of a London based organisation appearing regularly on TV and radio as well as in the print media. Calling on his considerable experience of leading people, he returned to the world of personal management as an HR consultant before specialising in coaching personal and leadership development.
David works predominantly on a one-to-one basis with senior business people or private individuals to help them get the most out of themselves in the workplace or their private lives – particularly with regard to interpersonal skills. He believes it is always possible to maximise an individuals’ performance – and thus a team or organisation through developing appropriate behaviours and attitudes with which they deploy the skills they possess.
David is an accredited Coach of the Association for Coaching, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Personal Development, a Member of the Chartered Management Institute and an Associate of the Institute for Independent Business.
Carol Duncan
Coach and Facilitator
Carol brings a wealth of experience to her work as a coach and facilitator. She has 16 years experience working in the National Health Service (NHS) at managerial, director and executive level as well as 15 years working in the teaching profession. She has studied motivational techniques and went on to specialise in counselling and welfare at work. Carol has clients from both the private and public sector and extending across UK and Australia.
Her extensive range of coaching and facilitative skills, together with her organisational development knowledge and change management experience in the NHS, brings added value when working with individuals, teams and across organisations. Carol can assist in organisational diagnosis, leadership development and cultural change. She has focused on the clinical/managerial interface and has run a number of organisational development workshops. Her specialism is in 1:1 ongoing support for Chairs, Chief Executives, Directors and Clinicians in the NHS.
Her work is founded on the premise that all people are capable of achieving far more if given opportunities to enhance their self esteem and encouraged in self directed learning. She believes in the leadership capabilities of all staff and the potential for more effective engagement. She has developed a coaching culture in which people can flourish bringing with it self-awareness, personal growth and according to her clients, an increased performance at work.
She lives in Shaftesbury with her husband Tony, and they share a love of sport, Portugal and the Australian outback.
As a believer in life long learning, Carol has consistently updated her skill base and has regular supervision and professional development. She attained an MBA and a Dip CIM before her Fellowship of Chartered Institute for Personal Development and is an Accredited Coach of the Association for Coaching and a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
Joe Kearney
EMDR Practitioner, Counsellor and Business Coach
Trained as a Counsellor, Trauma Therapist and Business Coach, Joe specialises in the innovative therapy approved by the UK’s Dept of Health for trauma – ‘Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing’ (EMDR). He works with people traumatised by accidents, assaults or military combat, (both victims and first responders) and helps others overcome difficult early life experiences. He also uses EMDR as a tool to enhance performance of business managers, sports people and stage artists.
Joe moved from his native Ireland to Norwich in 1996. In Ireland, he worked as a priest in roles that included community development, diverse managerial and project-driven tasks, as well as his pastoral and administrative responsibilities. He was a member of the senior management team of an international centre of religious pilgrimage managing 100 staff and 1500 volunteers. He is a regular guest on various BBC Radio Norfolk programmes.
What inspires me is to see people discover their true greatness. I believe that when we were born, we were completely lovable and acceptable. I also recognize that difficult life events affect us and that we make choices and establish patterns, not all of which are helpful and useful. However, change is possible.
Joe is a ‘Senior Accredited Member’ of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, a member of the International Stress Management Association, and of the EMDR Association as well as an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching.
Sharon Stevens
Coach and Facilitator
Sharon Stevens brings twenty five years of blue chip business experience to her work as coach and facilitator. She has spent the last ten years concentrating on internal communication, coaching, cultural and organisational change within a large global organisation. She believes that people can achieve more than they think possible and are most productive when they are happy. Sharon works with executives and their teams who want to improve their performance.
Sharon has studied for a Post Graduate Certificate in coaching from the Professional Development Foundation at Middlesex University, is a member of the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council) and is an Associate member of the Association of Coaching.
Beyond her coaching work she is Mum to two teenagers and an aspiring golfer.
